Copy App Question

Hello,

I have a fairly simple question. I'm currently learning how to use Solutions API / ALM. My plan is to create a copy of one of my applications and then use that copy to test creating and deploying solutions in it.

As shown in the screenshot I've attached, before I create the copy application, I'm prompted to select options for my Cross-App Relationships. I just want to confirm that the option "Remove Cross-App Relationship" is the option that will not interfere with the original app(s). My goal is to create a copy of an app that is pretty much disconnected to other app(s), so I can rest assured nothing will be affected once I start testing things in the copied app.

Please confirm. Thanks in advance!

    I do something similar, but I don't have cross-app relationships like that.  I'm still fairly new myself but I might consider taking the outside table, making a snapshot of it, and dropping it in to your "sandbox app" and then recreating the relationship.  Might be kind of a pain, but if you sever the outside connections it would be safer (in my opinion).

    for myself, I DO copy my apps and then designate the copies as "SAndbox" and add the date and change the icon just so I don't try to do live work in the wrong app.  I also carefully make sure the most users do not have access to the sandbox at all so that there is no confusion between which is the working environment and which is not.
