Counting Hours/Minutes

I have Date/time fields "Clock In Time" and "Clock Out Time" and a duration time field that only collects the difference when there is a Clock out time entered. I want to be able see how long someone has been clocked in BEFORE they are to clock out - along with of course the Clock out selection '[Clock In/Out] = Clock Out' stopping the clock.
