Creating records from reports

I have a report link in a form that I would like to create records from so that I can search the results later. I tried using the copy/import button creator but the table with the report link does not appear in the drop-down selector so there is no way to create it. Any ideas on how I might be able to do this?

    Hi Dante,

    Are you just looking to be able to use a report link on a parent table to create child records right in the report link? One option is to open up the Form settings and look at the form settings for that report link and make it editable. That would allow users to edit and add records directly in the report link that exists on the form so long as they are in edit mode.

      Not exactly, I don't want to alter the existing records. I want to create a new record showing that the goggles have been inspected so I can go back later and see what goggles were inspected and when. Right now there's no easy way to search through the records we have to find out when a pair of goggles were last inspected.
