Default value not working on field type Text-Multiple Choice

Question

I have added a new field EXT.PT SENTNO is the default value.However, it is not populating.See attached, pleasethank you------------------------------BuildPro------------------------------

Default values only populate for new records; not for existing ones.

You can use a Search and Replace from a Report of Records (found under the More option) to update existing records accordingly.
