Display larger image when hoving over text or thumbnail

I've been researching how to create a "hover" feature such that when mousing over text or an image thumnail a pop-up appears with a larger  version of the image.  The following demonstrates the general idea with CSS and HTML.

Can this be achieved in QB by combining the CSS and HTML into a Rich Text Field or is a Code Page in combination with a Rich Text Field required?  General direction, community references or examples are greatly appreciated.
