    I think that you will need a support ticket as someone will have to look at your app.

Good questions! No and no. That field is only part of that one rule. The View/Modify permissions are Modify in the Field Properties.
When I took the user out of the group and tested as her I could edit the field without adjusting the form rule.

*EDIT: the issue with this fix is that she isn't included on notifications that the group is, unless I add her in manually.
