Editing Existing Records Offline Using the Mobile App

I must be missing something, because several months ago when we set up one of our applications to be used via the mobile app, we were able to search and find an EXISTING record within the app and edit it offline and have our updates pushed once we were back in service. Now when we access the app offline through the mobile app we're only seeing an option to add a new record to a table. I'm also not being shown the homepage anymore. Is this a new restriction to the mobile app? I would hope not as editing existing records was vital for our mobile applications to thrive. 

Any insight is greatly appreciated!!
