Effective Date Formulas

I am trying to build a formula in a table that pulls the current cost for a product  based on an effective date, this is so that I can see the most current cost based on the a table that has multiple cost adjustments to products.

    If you have a table of products in a relationship where one product has many costs adjustments, then you can simply go to that relationship and make a summary field of the maximum Effective date of the cost adjustments
