Embed Quickbase chart on Sharepoint intranet page?

I need to post a chart from one of my Quick Base apps to our SharePoint intranet to 'advertise' a new program the chart represents - generate excitement, awareness, etc.  I have seen this done on our very old intranet a long time ago, but cannot remember how to do it.  I've seen some posts in here about this, but not clear on the steps.  Can anyone please help?  Thanks!!!

  • If you just want to get a frozen image of the chart, I believe when you click near the top right of the chart where those three lines are you can save an image of the chart does that work for you? Or does it need to be alive chart?
  • It should be a live chart.  I know someone did this a long time ago on our old Intranet.  But that was many years, acquisitions, etc ago so no idea how to check back with her on how.
  • No, it was right there, in its own little widget/iFrame - not sure it was SharePoint - long time ago and on our intranet when owned by the same company that owned QB at the time (Intuit).
  • Sorry, Im not sure what to suggest. Everything in Quick Base needs to have a form of Authentication, so I don't know how you would do that unless someone writes some kind of script to execute when that Sharepoint webpage loads.

If you are willing to push a button there is code to Authenticate and then redirect to display the chart when a button is pushed. You would need to se up a dedicated userid with limited permissions, for that as the userid and password would likely be exposed in the URL address bar, so not secret at all.
  • Thanks and yes, this does make sense.  So the issue that blocked my attempt to try this yesterday was the authentication issue.   I am checking in with our QB rep on a way to do this but if not, I will simply use a static image that links up to the app.  That will still work for the point of advertising our app on our intranet...
