Embedded Grid Edit Opportunities

My App has Decision and Action (child tables) grid edit reports embedded into a parent form to make it easy to document Decisions and Actions during Leadership Meetings.   

I have two improvements I would like to make to these Grid Edit Tables:

  1. How to I remove or reduce the width of the blank column at the beginning of each Grid Edit report?   (pic attached)   I presume this is where the edit and view icons would normally appear, but we review all rows and insert new so do not need these icons for this use case. 
  2. How do we change the table header to be a color that matches our brand rather than the dark gray default?

    I know this is a non-answer but in 20 years I've never heard of a way to do either of those two things.

      Thanks Mark.   

      I can live with both, but space is limited on this complex form and Customer Execs are not impressed with Gray Headers.
