I have experienced this bug in the past when the same report link is referenced multiple times on the same form. I would recommend creating as many copies of the report link as you need on the form that you will be making changes to records with. Including grid edit/deleting.

I don't believe you even have the option of putting the same report link on one form. The glitch I have found exists when there are multiple report links on the same form with the same source and destination table. So creating copies yields the buggy result for me. I think it also wreaks havoc on the 'editable' report feature, as it creates orphans and doesn't auto select the related field.
