Favorite a record

Question

I know I can build this manually but before I do I want to ensure I am not overlooking something. Is there a way to favorite a record

Hi Ivan,There isn't a built in way to use the existing favorites functionality to favorite a record specifically but I have often build a favorites report with a filter for a favorite checkbox that I created in my records for Admin use. Then I can add that specific report to my favorites using the built in options. That way I can favorite any specific records I am working on by checking that box and then when I'm done with them I can just uncheck it and drop them off my report. This can work with a common favorites report or a personal favorites report. I hope this work around suggestion is helpful Ivan.&nbsp;If being able to favorite a record using our existing favorite functionality would be helpful to you I would also suggest giving us that feedback on User Voice. User Voice is the tool our product team uses to track customer interest in new features and enhancements to our existing features like this. The other thing to note is that the little star at the top right allowed you to quickly access the last 10 reports and the last 10 records you have viewed.

Thanks Mark, unfortunately I have a bunch of users that want to "favorite" an active project they are working on for a quick access. So the last viewed doesnt help me here.

Evan, thanks for the response. I will add it to uservoice but for now going to have to play with building this manually. I need each user to be able to favorite their favorite projects for quick access.

There is going to be more than one favorite.I am going to make a checkbox and when it is checked I think the way to do it is launch an automation to store the record ID and the current user in a new table (Favorite Projects Table) or potentially just a API button.&nbsp; Either way.&nbsp;&nbsp;On the dashboard I will need to make a report that shows the Project Names filtered by current user is logged in user.&nbsp; THat is what is in my head.&nbsp; I think it will work out fine.The thing I dont like about it is to get to your favorites you need to go to home page ( to get to dashboard) and click there.&nbsp; I would have loved if it is was available via the star which is available wherever you are in the system------------------------------Ivan Weiss------------------------------
