FilePath URL not navigating via click
I feel like I'm missing something obvious here. The URL type field seems to be intended to provide clickable URLs to both sites (http://) and local file folders (C:/users/etc.). I can get it to work...

I would look at the comments associated with the extension to see if others are having issues (I did not check this myself).
In regards to the second option, you have to invoke Chrome with the flag:
--allow-file-access-from-files
