Filter a summary report using 4 date fields with specific date ranges for each field

Hello, I have a table with daily accruing records for "billed claims" that contain 4 payment date fields to show when a payment is received (PrimaryPostingDate, Secondary..., Tertiary..., Alternate...

Option 1. Create an <ask the user> report to have the user key in the start and end dates for the 4 fields, so answer 8 questions. Yuk.

Option 2, do the same with Dynamic Filters. Yuk.

Option 3 is what I recommend. Use the approach here to enter your dates into a "Control Record" and then get the results easily form the user's Perspective.
