I've come across this issue as well. On numeric fields, there's an option to check off a box to "Treat blank values as "0" in calculations". If that box is not checked off and the field is blank, it will register as a null value rather than 0

- AustinK5 years agoQrew CommanderSeconding this. We have just started to check all of our numeric fields in our app to see which are set to this and which are not. Keeping this consistent through all the fields makes formulas easier for them since you don't have to check and see what the field is set to. If it is set to treat blanks as 0 and you do a formula to check it for null, the formula will not error. It just won't work.
