Formula to compare dates and show image

Hi all! 

running into issues creating a formula that will compare two date fields - one is a Date field, and the other is a Formula - Date field that calculates x workdays from the record [Date Created] field to see if the first date is before or after the second date.

I'd also like to group a few of these together with an If statement to create something of a progress bar. Is this even possible?
