Generate ID on Project - Can't mark as unique field?

Since your formula already contains the Record ID, it must already be unique as Record IDs are unique,  so no need to try to mark as unique.

    I think I need the bigger picture of what you are trying to do here.  A formula field is not allowed to be the Key field of a table, if that is your question.
