Can you explain further what youre trying to do?
- KristyWilliford6 years agoQrew Assistant Captainhello,
Every record in my table has 4 sub records.I need the subtotal of those records.I want a report to be created every single time a new record is created. - QuickBaseCoachD6 years agoQrew CaptainYou should be using a summary field on the relationship. To roll up the total of the sub records. Do you have a relationship.
- KristyWilliford6 years agoQrew Assistant CaptainYes I have all the summary fields.I actually created a summary report also.It was fine. But I need one for every record.
- QuickBaseCoachD6 years agoQrew CaptainSorry, but I still do not understand what you are trying to do. If you need a parent record to have en embedded report if the children and some summary fields of some totals for the child records, does that not solve your issue?
- KristyWilliford6 years agoQrew Assistant CaptainHello,
I actually need the format of the report to be like this. This is only one single record in quickbase. It has to be embedded within the table as a link. - QuickBaseCoachD6 years agoQrew CaptainAre you saying that you need to automatically create child records when a parent record is created?
- KristyWilliford6 years agoQrew Assistant CaptainNo that will be manually entered. But once those records are entered I need a summary report for all the child records in the parent table.
- QuickBaseCoachD6 years agoQrew CaptainOn the relationship between the Parent and Children on the left hand side, there will be a Report Link field type, or if not there will be a button to create one.
Just put that field on your Parent form and set the form properties to display the child records directly on the form. It will then allow you to create an unfiltered report and set the form to use that report. - KristyWilliford6 years agoQrew Assistant CaptainThank you that worked.
- QuickBaseCoachD6 years agoQrew CaptainOK! Glad we got there in the end.
