Highlight on dropdown is justified to top of text - awkward

On Text - Multiple Choice fields, the highlight color for the currently selected record is justified to the top of the text, with a large space below it.  It is awkward to read - the highlighted text is white, and there is NO clear top of each letter because it blurs into the unhighlighted row above it.  Also not a fan of the very bright blue background with white text - though I honestly can't remember, even after just three days, what it was before the new UI. Maybe it was also that way, just not as jarring because of the font??

    Hi Beth,

    We tried reproducing that in our office using Chrome, IE, and Firefox. What browser are you seeing this issue in? Is it only in your Text - Multiple Choice fields or is it in any field with a dropdown?

      It shows up in Chrome in multiple places. It is hard for users to compare to how it operated before the release because that version is no longer available to us.

      Here is an example where the selection highlight does not have enough padding on the top:

    Hi Evan - thank all of you for your cheerfulness and patience! I know it's been a challenging couple days. And I'll say here again that I absolutely love 99.99% of the new UI. 
    The initial screenshot was in Chrome, browser maximized, 21" monitor, QB set on the regular view.
    And here are more screenshots with notes.
    Also note additional issue (font change on load) at bottom of all this other stuff)

    Highlight of any field - Chrome (note same issue with top of highlight even with top of font)



    Dropdown Firefox  (it is absolutely beautiful - but the rest of QB is ugly in FF)

    Top of field cut off on display - Edge and IE
    *THIS IS INTERESTING* - it is cut off when you are at the top of the page, but if you scroll down even just a bit it becomes ok - but if you scroll back up to the top, it cuts off again.

    Scroll or arrow down just once:

    Times New Roman(ish) flicker on load - Edge
    On load, the screen flickers - long enough for me to get a screenshot! - and loads some fields in an old font before loading in the new font.

    Thank you for the details and the screenshots Beth I'm going to pass this information on to our Escalation team and see what feedback they have on this. In regards to Edge currently it isn't a support browser for us so there is some expectation for visual issues or problems there as we aren't currently specifically designing with Edge in mind. For those others browsers though I am definitely going to pass them along to have them looked at. The details and screenshots to break it down are a great help.

      Any time you're hiring for debugging and user testing and documenting what I see, well, I could work remotely for sure...
      In reality, that is a (large?) part of what I do for my real job - test our software and point out all these nitpicky things.
