How do I display a form based on a field selection?

I have 10 fields I'd like to capture in a record, but not all 10 fields are relevant for every record. Based on the value the user selects for the first field, I'd like to display a different subset of the remaining 9 fields to the user.

I see there are solutions based on code, but I'm not sure where to enter the code. If there's a solution that's available through the QuickBase UI, that would be preferable.

I also looked at dynamic forms functionality (with rules), but if I have fields that are used commonly across different forms, it seems I have to duplicate these fields, one for each section.
