How to access including send/receive Gmail email?

We have an existing ticket management system.  We use bi-directional Gmail to communicate with the client; one 'generic' mailbox on our end and whatever email address the client provides on their end.  We will exchange information as well as accept JPG images in the Gmail mailbox.  We use maybe 4 or 5 different folders along with Templates to help us provide 'canned' responses that we can then edit for additional relevance to the client (we are considering converting the Templates to Google Drive).

I have looked at Connected Tables and Pipelines but not sure that either would give us the bi-directional Gmail flow to/from a generic email address on our side and external email addresses on the client side.

Thoughts?  Possible?  Recommendations?  Have I missed something?
