How to add B. C. dates?
Hello, Does anybody know how to add B. C. dates in the date field (for example 1/1/500 B.C.)? Is there any way to this using date field or should I create a formula instead? Thank you -------...

Are you just recording these dates in B.C.? Do you need to use them in calculations?
You can save them as a simple text in a text field, but if you wish to convert them to a date to use in calculations, you'll need to use a formula to adjust them.

- Thank you for your response, Jeff. I am using this field for sorting out data chronologically. I've already created numeric fields, with dates before BC as a negative number. Actually, I am just putting in the year, as I don't need a precise date. But thanks for the suggestion anyway.
