Interesting choice of words "snapshot".
Yes, there is native functionality in Quick Base to create a field and change its field properties to indicate that it should behave as a snapshot field and take its values from a lookup field and freeze them.

The lookup fields offered should be the fields that exist as lookups into the table and which match the field type of the field you are setting to be a snapshot. For example a numeric field will only let you select numeric lookups to snapshot.
