I need to filter a report based on a condition of report line items being present

I have a report of equipment line items by project. I am being asked to filter this report and show only certain equipment types when a piece of equipment is present So when there is equipment type...

I don't believe I'm understanding the question / use case. It sounds like you're wanting to filter based on something that isn't present? Can you walk through the use case in a little more detail or provide an example layout of the report that you're trying to generate?
