I want to allow my clients to create a Purchase order and then pick items from inventory to be line items of Purchase Order. The normal way to do this would be to display a report of available inventory on the Purchase Order record and then let the user pick which of the items he would like to be part of the purchase order. Is there an intuitive way to do this in Quick Base?
Qrew LegendThere is a technique that I could help you with where you would enter the purchase order header, and then push a button to launch into a report of your item SKUs with available inventory. The report would be a normal Quickbase report so it would have a search bar at the top and dynamic filters so the user could narrow down their list of possible SKUs. Then there would be a button on the each of the SKU items to add that item to the focus purchase order, and then a button to return the user back to the purchase order where they would see the lines that they had selected.
This can work very elegantly, and I can give you a demo, but the actual set up steps are beyond the scope of what I can explain step-by-step on this forum.
