Is anyone out there using a cell phone app to scan barcodes into a QuickBase app?  We'd like to use our Inventory app with a cell phone barcode reader.

  • If you haven't yet resolved this need you may be interested in checking out the new barcode scanning capability we just rolled out this past weekend in the native Quick Base Mobile App!

All that's required is to update to the latest version from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to see the option appear. Here's a link to the Barcode Scanning Help Article with a little more information: https://help.quickbase.com/user-assistance/mobile_barcode_scanning.html

  • Thanks Laura.  Yes we have built many mobile application with capabilities to use the phone camera to read barcodes.  Feel free to reach out to us using the email in my profile.
  • Trinity will be great if you need a robust solution. If you just need to be able to scan a bar code and append it onto a url, for example to scan a bar code on a work order and display that record ID, then I believe I got an app working called

    From the Apple App Store.
  • Have you resolved this requirement? If still looking for a nifty barcode solution, we have a native mobile barcode solution from you Mobile devices directly to Quickbase. Let me know if interested to review
