  • I am getting really tired of not being able to control the app bar/UI color at either a user or app level. How is quickbase an enterprise app if it can't be configured to follow corporate design guidelines of at least a color scheme? First, everything was shaded blue, so i had to design all of our buttons and rich text fields in our app to match the blue just to get a coherent palette on screen, even if it wasn't (our) palette. Now it's purple, so we either live with blue and purple mix, or I get to spend all day recoloring field design elements to match. The new design is a step in the right direction, but anything that forcibly faces the end user (ie app bar) that we can't control should be a design NEUTRAL color (ie white or gray, just like the rest of the forced UI) ...You like purple, fine. Just don't force it down our throats. Either make it NEUTRAL or modifiable.

PM> I definitely agree we need more branding options throughout the Quick Base product.

I can "brand" anything within QuickBase using Service Workers and so can you.

      Hey Justin,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the rebrand. I definitely agree we need more branding options throughout the Quick Base product. I'd hope you can share your feedback on our Uservoice portal. Here's a relevant post which I'll be using to make the case for these improvements:

I have not tried other browsers. Right now Im on safari on an ipad.
  • Greg,
I agree with your issue. You are specifically referring to Summary Reports where the letters in the colum group by field are black on a grey background which does not have enough contrast. That does need to be changed.

This is not an issue of just whether or not we like purple. We cant read the column headings in Summary reports.

      Hey Mark,
We're aware of the issue and working on a fix for it. I apologize for our oversight.

  • I was using Google Chrome.  I can read the headers in Microsft Edge and Explorer, but on those two, the data header fonts are black against a dark gray background and also are difficult to read.

@Greg, Yep. Completely agreed. We thought we had this use case handled, and are working on that fix.

Thank you, Sam.  I expect the new UI release bugs will be resolved soon.  As a Product Manager in a previous life, I feel your pain.

To be honest, I did not read the release notes.  I just use QuickBase and expect it to work for my needs.  But again, as a former Product Manager, I would be fuming if Project Management rolled out a release like this.  Apparently testing missed it.  I'm sure that you will agree that It shouldn't be left up to users to find this obvious of a bug.

      Cheers

  • Can we change back to the blue color?  I was able to change the heading by "branding", but what about the App Tabs?  Can they be changed?

      Hey Barbara,
Thanks for commenting. We're looking at solutions for the App Tabs, and incorporating branding is definitely a component of any great solution.

  • Can't read table column headers. Shading and font colors make it unreadable.

The old style with alternate row shading is much more usable than what it is now.

I think Heather's screen shot shows best how the font is blurring.

Different issue - but one that I had noticed but hadn't figured out yet why it was bothering me.
HEY EVERYONE!  Want to know how it used to look??? Go to the QB help!  Screenshots galore of the old UI!  For example, here's is a picture of the alternate row shading that Heather wants back (as do I).
