Load Java Script Page within child records when parent record form is saved

Hello,

I have three tables involved here: Parts, Product Line Items  (PLIs) and Quotes. PLIs are children of Quotes.

Within the PLI form, I have created a javascript button that activates a query to filter through the relevant parts and returns the status of the parts required (stock/standard/custom). The javascript button uses a code page and works fine if you use it within the PLI form.

Currently, the team adds PLIs through a report link in the Quotes form. I would like to add a feature that automatically runs the javascript button for the PLIs when they save the Quote. The current alternative is to have the team open up each PLI and click the button after they have saved the Quote.

Any thoughts?
