Most recent date formula

Hello,

I have a table of all my invoices from various clients. I would like to create a field in a child table that will pull the most recent invoice date based off the client (the client ID# is the key field for the child table).

    If you have a relationship where 1 client has many Invoices, just make a Summary field on the left side of the relationship of the Maximum of the Invoice Date.

      Hello,

      So say I have 50 clients. Would I need to create 50 summary fields?

        Not if your app is set up properly.  If you app is set up properly then you will have a relationships where 1 Client has Many invoices.  Then you will create ONE summary field and put it on a report of all clients and on the form.  Every clinett will have their own [Most Recent Invoice Date].
