Need value from table B to use in Table A's formula based on (2) fields in Table A.

Each day Pricing is sent out to various entities & requires the latest pricing information.

table B is updated once a night around 6 PM with the Index Date, Index Name & Mean Price.
table B has a history of Mean Price records.
each night the latest Mean Price for about (8) different Index Names are added.

table  A has many records that once various dropdown selections are made tend to stay set.

table A needs Table B's most recent Mean Price value.
the user will select (2) fields which will determine what table B's record Mean Price to use:
1) Same or Prior Day (this may change but extremely rare)
2) Index Name (once selected then will not change)

Really do not want the User to have to click thru each of Table A's records to update the value manually.

For the time being there are only (2) Index Names that would need to be used as the other (6) are not referenced (so far) in the formula that has been brought over from a highly evolved Excel macro workbook.

I've attempted to setup a Summary record using the maximum Record ID# but it does not seem to work else I am (likely) confused.

table B is currently setup as the parent table to table A.
