New record created if "does not meet"

I would like to have the user fill out the checklist in the picture (Safety Checklist Table).  There could be multiple items that "Does not meet" regulations.  Each time that an item is a "Does not meet" a new record is created in the table CAR Manager.  I want the new record creation to take place after they have finished filling out the checklist or in the background.  The new record would have the field (requirement) and priority (High, medium, low).

Is this possible?

  • This should be possible with Automations, although a limitation of Automations is that may not fire at a rate more than 10 per second.  if you have 10 or less of these checklist fields, the you can set up 10 Automations to fire when the record is edited and the respective field is changed and after the change it has the value "Does not Meet" in that respective field.

If this approach sounds like what you need, but you need to have possibly more than 10 CAR records created to address safety issues, post back and I can suggest a solution to that limitation which will handle up to 1,000 CARs.

If you have more than 1,000 CAR records to be created then this sounds like the Fukushima Nuclear Reactor situation and it's time to get out of town.

It should not be than 10 per checklist record  created. I will try automation.
