Open specific tab on a form based on the status?

I have a form with a dozen tabs, each being a part of the sales process.  Is there a way for a user to be taken to a specific tab when opening the form based on their current status (lead, discovery, proposal, underwriting, etc)?  They need to be able to move back and forth between tabs, so hiding completed tabs isn't a good option.

  • As far as I know, there is no way to land a user on a tab, and it's a long desired feature. However, I am going to keep poking my head back in on this post, hoping I am wrong and someone gives you a way!

There is definitely not a way to land the user on a specific tab but you can show or high tabs based on a form rule if that helps.

QuickBase is aware that we are wanting this feature but they're saying we will not be able to land on specific tabs until forms are re-designed and realistically that is at least a year away in my judgment.
