Pipeline Trigger Question

Question

I don't see a pipeline trigger option for add or update. Will update fire for new adds too or will I need a trigger for a new record and an updated record?

When pipelines first came out there was a trigger on ADD and the trigger on record updated. But then they realized that many people have the same question you have. So they came up with a new trigger called On New Event. That is a combo trigger based on Add Modify or delete.

It's probably be best only to use the combo method On New Event because you never know when you might have to rethink a pipeline and trigger on something else and as we painfully know you cannot change the trigger once you have established it.
