Populate Address field using separate address field listings

Hi,

I have a table with text fields being used for the address.

So, Address1 field is a text field. Address2, City, State and Zip are all text fields.

In addition to these fields, I want to add a new Address field that is actually an address field (not a text field). I'm interested in using a map for reporting purposes, and realize I need the Address field to do this.

Is there an easy way to populate this field using the info that is already in the table (combined data from the text fields), or will I have to type it in manually?

  • You might consider setting up a one time saved table to table import to import the table into itself merging on record ID number. That way you can populate the address component fields from your separate address fields. And then you might want to consider getting rid of your old address fields.
