Possible to create Button on Home page that goes to a specific record?

Question

Is there any way to have a button (specifically on the new dashboard) navigate to a certain record, but also specify the key field?

My use case is I have a table where the user is the key field. This is a user focus table (made famous by YourQuickBase Coach).

I want a button on my home page to take me to a form and record on that table, which would require a url that auto fills in the persons email address at a certain point. I don't think it is possible, but thought I would post just in case someone has done something like this.

I think the only way to do this would be to have an embedded report on your dashboard. The report would just be one record and it would have the formula you were looking for. The trick will be to have that report take up the least amount of space on the dashboard.

And you can try it as a regular report but you could also try it as a web page element to the report with a suffix of &ifv=1
