Proxy Fields

Question

I have the following tables set up:&nbsp; Customers, Contacts, Locations &amp; Projects.
In "Projects", I have cascading drop downs set up to choose related Customer, related Contact &amp; related Location.&nbsp;&nbsp;
I have designated "Proxy Field" values for all 3, but they are still displaying as the Record ID numbers, instead of the Proxy Fields.&nbsp; When I edit the project, it shows the proxy fields correctly, but in the grid view, I only get the numbers.
What am I doing wrong and how can I make it show the proxy values on the grid view?&nbsp;&nbsp;------------------------------Allison Watson------------------------------

I think perhaps you're thinking of what a proxy field is, is backwards.&nbsp; :)

The proxy fields are the fields that should be put on the form and on your reports. Not the various&nbsp; [Related XYZ fields] which are the meaningless (to users) numbers.

So....then there's no way to make it display properly?&nbsp; How is anyone supposed to know what customer #2 is?&nbsp; I want it to actually show the customer name, not the #2.&nbsp;&nbsp;------------------------------Allison Watson------------------------------
