Quicker way to add new record in grid edit

In one of our tables, we rely on grid edit to add new records.  Since there are a lot of records, normally we have to to the last page and then start scrolling until we find a blank row,.  This is really long way. Is there a quick way to add a new record in grid edit?
  • A low tech solution is to have the users work from a report called My Records entered Today where the filter is [Date Created] equals the current date and [Record owner] is the current user.

That will likely be a very short report.
  • Thanks. Seems workable. Will try this after discussing with guys.  Another option is to provide users with the related project iD and have them  import the data. But it is fraught  with danger.

Can users directly enter a number for the related project when copying and posting in the related project column?
  • Yes, [Related Project] is just a number really, like any other number. Copy and Paste works best using IE as a browser.
  • Thanks.  The question was we copy and paste and pre populate the Excel sheet with a project iD, would the related project column accept a number obviously in IE environment?  I cannot test it as i don't  have IE available to us.
  • Yes it will accept that number for Related Project.  Firefox also will work for copy and paste.
