Formatting bar

What do you mean when you say formatting bar.  If you were looking to format text in the field type for that needs to be a rich text field type. Not regular text, rich text.

    That is not a feature of Quickbase to be able to easily do that. For particular fields you can use this technique which requires making a formula field to use for display purposes.
