... so you need to have an Automation to to create these Unique Hubspot Deal Ids when a record is created and there Parent record does not yet exists.

Thanks, Mark! So it sounds like we'd still have to manually delete those duplicates, yeah?

  Well once you have that set up, I'm sure that they could be deleted automatically at least each night.
  
  These records have a parent and therefore they know they are part of a group where there is more than one sibling. There can be a relationship to look up which record is the minimum record ID for that parent. Presumably which ever one got their first gets to stay. So you could have an automation delete records where these children records have at least one sibling but they are on record ID is not the one with the minimum record ID.
