Mark - Just FYI, the grid edit did not work for us. Because the record was a lookup field, grid edit does not work. Unless there is some permission that we can turn on for doing this?
It wasn't too terrible of an ordeal, thankfully it was a new record and had very few orphan records!

- I gather from your post above that you manage to fix the records one by one. I'm not quite understanding why Grid Edit did not work but I guess you solved your problem.
