I have a similar situation where I want to add records in a destination table if they do not already exist. But, the source could be any of... say... 20 different tables. So, I do not want to build a complex web of relationships to all of the different source tables. Instead, I would rather build a Pipeline to search the destination table if the record exists and add if it does not exist. Since these tables are updated in bulk, I do not think I can use a trigger of when a record is created. And, I want to avoid hundreds of errors by building an add without first checking for existing.
Do you have any thoughts for a solution to what I am suggesting?
