Record Owner for Automation

Question

I have 2 apps:&nbsp; OurCompany, Customer.&nbsp; I would like to allow Customers to enter notes in Customer and create the note in the corresponding OurCompany Table.&nbsp; My goal is to show the original Record owner and check that it is a customer entered note.&nbsp; Using automations will always show me as the owner.&nbsp; Suggestions?I do have a button that accomplishes this, is there a way to imbed this button in the standard Save button?------------------------------Christine White------------------------------

The Record Owner will always be the Owner of the Automation. But you are free to create a new field such as [Record Entered by] and populate it with the current user. You can have a field on the Customer Table called [Current User] with a formula of User().

it appears in your use case that your Customers are Users.
