Remove native buttons from mobile

Is there a somewhat simple way to remove the native save and/or save & new buttons from mobile pages? I found one thread that might work but it seemed overly complicated....

    The only way to remove the native save buttons are to use non-native techniques which may not be supported in the future, such as the Image Onload Technique (IOL). I'm not sure if that technique works in Mobile Browser, but it certainly would not work on Mobile App.
