Removing \r\n from field

Good afternoon,

I pulled a combined text summary field over from another app to a connected table.  The initial field was a rich text formula with a List function to display a name and address in a label format.  However, when it displays on the new app instead of line breaks it has \r\n:   Mr. Joe Brown\r\n123 Anytown St\r\nAnytown, MA 01234

I've tried SearchAndReplace(CombinedTextField, "\r\n" , "")  and SearchAndReplace(CombinedTextField, "\n" , "") and a variety of other options, but none of them work.  

Any thoughts?  Thank you!

    Is the new field where you are changing the combined text field to a text field a formula text field or a formula rich text field?  is the soouerce field in the child records a Rich Text field?  Is it using some html formatting like bold and underline etc?
