Report Filters for Related Fields in Grid Edit Mode

Am I misremembering, or is there operator error...

I have a related field that when displayed and selected, it uses a filtered report. I'm using an editable report link, and then overriding the report with a form (A 'Grid Edit' Form that I have created). The report filters do not work when using the editable report link.

Is this by design, or operator error? I thought I remembered the related field report filters working, but maybe I am misremembering.

    I have not tested recently but yes that is exactly the technique. You create a form typically called Grid Edit and put your filtered report there for the drop-down choices.  Then associate that form for that report for "Grid Edit".  It should then respect the form filters for the drop down.

      Either I am a master of finding new bugs, or I am simply overlooking my error. I'll get with customer support.
