Retro Actively Link Records Pipelines

Is it possible to retro actively link records from two tables? The linking records feature in pipelines is great for having two tables that can be edited and updated in two different apps, but to implement this on existing data is tough.

I have two apps with a one table that I want editable and updated from either app. This data already exists in one app. How would I go about that if theres already data in the table?
