Search Bar on Table Home Page

I have a tables in my button bar where it would be very helpful if there was a search bar at the top.  Is there a way to add one or do I need to make a page and have a link to that page on the home dashboard?

  • Can you clarify your question?

Are you saying that you have Reports on your Dashboard and you want to be able to use the search filter box at the top of the report and the Dynamic Filters?

If that is your question, you can make a dashboard element of a Web Page and for the URL copy and paste the report URL and suffix it with &ifv=1

     for example

Here is a screenshot and I mocked up what I am trying to do.  What is odd is that some of my tables have the search bar at the top.  This one does not.  Maybe there are not enough records for it to show up yet?  Although that seems odd.

What you were calling the Table Bar is in fact a table homepage. You have specified a particular report to be used on the table homepage but on that report you have set your dynamic filters to none.
When you set the dynamic filters to none unfortunately it also by default disables the filter box at the top of the report. So just look underneath where you set your dynamic filters to none and there will be a checkbox to allow that filter box to show. It's kind of a little gotcha that you have to learn as I agree that even in the smallest reports, they look naked without that filter box.
