Search File Attachments

I have a file attachment field and have uploaded a MS Word doc. I want to be able to search that Word doc for keywords.  If I understand it correctly, that is possible in QB. I have done the ste...

Just now.... is it standard to update overnight?  or after a few hours? that would be fine, i can check tomorrow...

It's mysterious.  I believe on a going forward basis if you add a new document it will index quickly.  Try one now.  It's mysterious when they index when you turn on the indexing and there are existing documents.

It's actually a very powerful and under appreciated feature of Quickbase.

    After several days it's still not indexing; perhaps i'm doing something wrong?

      Hi Jeff,

      If you are still having issues with getting the search to look within your file attachments I would recommend reaching out to our Care team to help out. They can take a look at the settings and field and figure out if something is getting in your way, it can be a very resource intensive search and a second look might help surface any issues. You can create a support case from here in Community by clicking on support where it appears in the global navigation in the top right hand corner or within Quick Base by clicking on the question mark icon in the upper right hand corner and selecting "Manage Support Cases".
