Setting Fiscal Year in App

Ive gone into Setting, App properties, then the App date & time section to set the fiscal year. My company the Fiscal year is from April to March. (IE our fiscal 2017 is ending this week)

The problem I'm having is the instruction below says "Year based on (?) month of the year."

But no matter which I pick, First or Last, it has Fiscal year 2019 starting in April. So it is 1 year ahead of where I need it. If selecting year is based on First month of the Fiscal year, why would it not be 2018 if the first month is April 2018?

I'd open a support ticket to see why that is happening.

I believe for your case it should be 'first', thus april 2018 is the the start of the FY.

  • I've been going crazy trying to pull the year from a date field in QuickBase

The formula I am using is Year([Date Field])

However I keep getting an error "expecting date but found number". Any idea why?

The year of today, for example  is the number 2,020.

It looks like your year field is defined as being a formula date.  It should be formula numeric.
