SMS Notifications Verizon vs. AT&T

Good Morning Everyone,

Wondering if anyone has experience with Quickbase notifications using the cell carriers to send SMS text messages.  Most people in our company have AT&T and we haven't experienced hardly any issues with the notifications.  However, a few of our employees have Verizon and I've discovered an irritating limitation: 

Verizon claims they can send messages (limited to 50 characters) as an SMS text message.  If the characters are over 50 but less than 1000, they claim it should send as an EMS message and deliver in continued messages (see below for reference).  However, this is not what I've observed with Verizon.

Has anyone gotten any traction with this?  Or am I just at the mercy of 50 characters with Verizon?
